California State Parks offers interpretive panels on topics of general interest for a wide variety of park uses. Please see the catalog of current offerings below. All panels are designed by California State Parks staff and manufactured by private fabricators, with Interpretation and Education Division staff providing coordination. At the discretion of the Interpretation and Education Division, panel text and photographs may be substituted to address issues at a specific park unit or in a specific region.
Pricing
Panel costs vary depending on fabrication method and size. Most panels are available in both 24″x48 “and 32″x40” sizes, with cost increasing with panel size. Precise costs vary depending on manufacturer availability; however, High Pressure Laminate and Gel Coat Laminate panels typically cost between $550 and $950, and Porcelain Enamel panels typically cost around $3,000. Additional costs may be added to external orders to cover the staff time required to prepare the files for fabrication, including time to make any requested alterations or substitutions.
Ordering
To order panels for use in a California State Parks unit, use the Internal Order Form. External parties who wish to order a panel must use the External Order Form. Please submit finished order forms via email to interpretation.staff@parks.ca.gov. Interpretive panels can be made available in alternate formats.
